Rolling off from my first external consulting project next week. I feel like I'm being fired from a job, not moving on to a new project. 😥

I'm already staffed for my next project, but this is just a really weird unfamiliar feeling. Thanks for your advice though 😊

It's been my experience that if you can get on one directors proposal and do good work they will call on you to support their stuff from there on out - I've been helping the same director for 2 years

Try to be as useful as you can while on the bench. Use your network to get on something.

Glad to hear it OP, can't have you just sitting around. 😉

I would start with your PML, they may be able to point you to an ongoing effort that could use your insight or other talents or a least refer you to someone in the know.

I just blindly emailed them when I first started lol what do you have to lose! also ask PML

OP tell your Resource Manager you are available or would like to help with proposal work.

Sometimes Partners and Directors check with RMs to find out who is available and can help a proposal or some analysis / research they may need.

@KPMG1 - how do you get proposal work?

Alright. I'm in few CoPs, but still nothin!

Thanks, @KPMG2! Now I gotta find a director lol

I've done that and gotten zero responses ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

RMs can help with proposal work?? Thanks! I didn't know that

I'm not a healthcare guy, but I'm working with a client who uses "Cerner data feeds". What are these? Do you need some special IT support to decode then?

Anyone have a recruiters email at Initiative ? TIA

What i have seen on matrimonial app is that there is a concept called greed. Generally how these sites work people send interest, they talk, find something in common and get married. But how it is happening? I have got interest from so so boy with so so package. I know I can do it better and ignore the interest, search continues instead of finding common nature or belief. Similarly boys are like I have got interest from so so girl now I know my market value let's see how much more I can fetch.

Any tips on FDD interviews at Big4 for experienced hires (below manager level). Are there any case studies? If yes, what are they usually like?

When I clerked, I dreamed of being an appellate attorney. Tried to break in at BigLaw, couldn’t get past all the Supreme Court clerks, still lucked into all of two arguments in ten years.

25 years after my clerkship, my own shop, and my team of attorneys has seven federal appellate briefs due in the next five weeks. Maybe eight if opposing counsel’s motion to expedite comes through.

So I’ll be working this weekend. Careful what you wish for? Except I absolutely love it.

Can someone please explain oof and F. Been seeing a lot of that and wondering wth the lingo means.
