Hi all,
I’m looking to relocate to Seattle. Does anyone know if any of the Big 4 are still recruiting campus hires to start in Summer/Fall 2023? I’m open to either Audit or Tax, but I have internship experience in Tax.
I applied and received an offer at a Big 4 in San Francisco (campus hire), but I’ve decided Seattle is the better fit for me as it will be closer to my hometown and family in Vancouver.
Thanks!

You want finance douchebros or tech geekbros? 😎 🤓
You want weather or forever being slightly cold but never that cold? 🥵 🥶

You wanna go to wine tasting in two world class regions with a stop on the Mendocino coast to go tidepooling in-between like it's any other weekend? SF. Best daytrip opps. World class skiing in Tahoe. We're lucky.
Agree with A7, NYC in your 20s, Bay Area in your 30s. Born and raised in the Bay and looking for a way to get to NY!
NYC no question about it
SF. NY is cold
Lot more commies in SF

Grew up in SF and currently live in NYC. I think that’s all I need to say…
As someone in the Bay Area, I just have to say: No! Don’t! Gtfo while you still can! 😂

SF. The people are nicer, the legal field is less uptight, and it’s beautiful.

SF, and I don’t even like SF (Southern California here). Never did vibe with east coasters.
Also from SoCal but some time on the east coast. I found that east coasters are generally the inverse of NorCal people: they’re not nice but they’re very kind. East coasters will pull you away from an oncoming bus and call you an idiot for jaywalking in the same breath. The NorCal folks will let the bus hit you, but tell everyone how smart and sweet you were at your funeral.
I would never live in SF.
So weird cuz both cities have a ton of homelessness but I have never seen or had to step around human turd in NYC. Only in SF
‘Frisco any day of the week. I say it having lived in NYC for three years.

I appreciate your insistence on “Frisco,” Ohio 😆

Neither
NY for your 20s, depends on your interests for your 30s, probably Bay Area (though maybe not SF) after
Thanks all. San Francisco it is!

SF has different neighborhoods--the Tenderloin and SoMa and parts of the Mission were dicey pre-Corona and will continue to be. But there's plenty of nice places to live too. I love my hood and it's crime free.
Cosign that SF partners/biglaw, on the whole, is gentler than NYC biglaw.
And exit opps are outstanding.
LA
Jk NYC if you’re under 30. SF/Bay has appeal if you’re a little older or lowkey/have a spouse and a dog
NY if your only hobbies are having opinions and drinking/eating. SF otherwise.
What are your interests?

SF for outdoorsy for sure.
How is this even a question? NYC ftw!
