Seeking some advice currently a technical lead for a digital transformation team. Have an associate on my team that is suppose to assist with data analytics work ( dashboards, data analytics, excel etc) but he truly does not have the skillsets to help at all. He is also not receptive to feedback and takes days to do be try simple task. I have mentioned this to my director but afraid it will look bad for me since I am going up for promotion this year. He is making my job harder and not doing much

AWS lowballed but I negotiated to match Cloudflare. Cloudflare offers more equity but AWS has a higher base.

I love Cloudflare. The people are great but it’s an engineering culture and the sales team isn’t as well shaped up and I can’t go for a promotion until at least 18 months of tenure. I am an investor in the company and think of them super highly. I’ve already got half a years SDR experience and AWS promotes quicker.

So back in July I went out for a new position at my small company that was rapidly expanding (Account Manager). Was notified that I didn't get the full promotion but was told instead that I was still moving up and was going to be Customer Service/Account Manager Support. The new Account Manager had no customer service experience within our niche industry. I instead had to help help him with all customer service issues.

I have 5 YOE in Analytics... always thought I wanted to be a DS, but every job (even the junior ones) required experience in ML development. Though I am part of the ML project, I'm not the person develop the model. And I have a hard time when the interviewer ask about how I develop the model and what hyperparameters I tuned. I know the thought process and stuff but 'I' wasn't the one who did that part in the project. How to convince them that I could do the job without taking credit of others.
