Why even leave when it's the same money?
@ CMC1 - Because why stay at a company that has no vision and a diminishing reputation. My friend works for deloitte and left ibm. She mentioned their vision/ strategy / playbooks for clients / organization is unparallel. Additionally, I left IBM to switch firms to financial services and similarly the strategy / presentation / organization / deliverables are unmatched. I didn’t learn anything for 2 years at ibm and have already learned exponentially in the 5 months I’ve been at my new firm.
Potentially- but you’ll notice by going to another firm that IBM doesn’t have a niche. They are all over the place and their strategy it seems is do everything technology so we can remain competitive. If you go to a deloitte / other firms- they have an entire playbook / approach for clients for each individual practice that they train their employees in so they know how to approach clients a specific way / how each employee will approach projects & problem solving. It’s a 180 from ibm and even at my firm I’ve seen this difference.
