Anyone with experience/opinion on the Part-time MBA program at UC Berkeley? Or pros/cons on full-time vs weekend/full employed MBA programs? Part-time/fullly-employed MBA program sounds like a great idea cuz I’m not loosing much income.
Looking to eventually break into FAANG PM and wondering if I need to pursue an MBA first. Non-target undergrad, but have SWE and product experience from current and previous roles. What’s the best path forward? Any advice would be hugely appreciated!
MBAs and Strategy Consultants: If you were to do it all over, what is the most efficient way to become a “master” at case interviewing? Read each MBA program’s consulting club’s case books? Then practice? If yes, is there any specific order/sequence of case types to prepare for?
I need some inputs on if I should pursue a MBA. Goal that I would use MBA for is getting into VC, only a undergrad internship in that space, or doing a search fund and like micro PE. I would consider corporate VC too. Alternative is to focus on meetups to meet founders, getting a better job and hit the accredited investor status so I can invest with angels. Undergrad was a top business school, so I feel strong with finance and other functions.
Getting ready for PMP exam. Any tips for last minute prep or for the actual exam? Already took course, books and doing flash cards.
How long do you have to study to prepare for AWS solution architect certification? Not much of development background but fairly versed in computing.
Let’s discuss gender pay gaps by assessing our own discrepancies. I’ll start. I’m a 29 YO female, almost 6 years experience total, at a 115 base, guaranteed 126 if I meet utilization, with potential for more bonus. No target school or MBA. I’m happy with where I’m at, but are my male counterparts on here making more or relatively the same?
Finishing up Leadership Dev Program-IT (rotational program: roles included Analyst, SM, PO, Dev, Engineer) with GEICO and looking to post out into the Cyber Security (in DMV area). Did have exposure to Cyber at GEICO for 2 of my rotations, had an opportunity to get Sec+, Net+, CISM (exam cleared only). What firms I should be looking into which values LDP and future growth in the Cyber Arena.

Are MBB/consulting experience + technical masters (e.g., data science, CS) ever complementary when looking at exit opps, or are they too different to overlap (or, in other words, will the former have been a waste of time if pursuing the latter)?
Anyone here from Capgemini Invent that I can discuss a role with, and potentially get a referral from?
Can i expense airbnb if I choose to stay there?
When the client pressures you into naming a date the audit can get done, and later that week you discover multiple serious issues that will require extended testing 😬
Is it a bad sign if they take longer to get back to you after a final round interview? Irrationally antsy about last Friday's results haha

I am due to take 2 weeks parental leave sometime in the next month and have an offer lined up. Is it better to tell the new place I would prefer to push my start date to take my leave and join two weeks after (accounting for 2 weeks of notice when I get back)? Would that be burning a bridge with current firm (taking leave and giving notice as soon as I am back)? I want to avoid losing 2 weeks of salary during that time if I can.
Going to my first in-person local networking event since covid after work today. I’m worried I forgot how to be a human in public over the past 18 months. Used to be relatively good at working a room (for someone who codes) but it was a skill I worked at for years before the pandemic hit. Do y’all have any advice?

Due to some room mate shifting I am going to shift from paying 900 a month to about 1300. Only other option was getting a single for 1400, I live in a low cost of living city so didn’t think getting a studio would be worth it consider I work from home. Total compensation will be just other 90k this year. Any tips for making sure I stay on the FIRE PATH? Concerned that I’m now forking over an extra 5k after tax in rent and realizing that losing potential room mates has huge financial implication
I’m a 2nd yr. in M&A (if relevant: I’m billing on average 176 hrs, lowest month was 144, highest was 281, not getting paid market about 20-30k below). I’m considering a lateral move to Latham. Would love insight on the M&A group and the NY office as a whole, specifically culture but any insight or advice is appreciated.
