Hi there, I’ve been told that Deloitte (London, UK) is going to make me an offer but haven’t heard back and it’s been over two weeks. The recruiter mentioned it would be around the “m2 grade”. Any idea what this pay range is? … I have 3 YOE working in NHS finance and have applied for a position in Risk Advisory, public sector. Curious what life at Deloitte is like? Does a work life balance exist?

There are lot of mixed reviews about Nagarro.. some folks are saying Nagarro do not fire even in covid the only did the pay cuts and did not fire anyone... where as some folks are saying Nagarro is hiring rigorously more than their projects strength so firing will happen for sure and if you are on bench for more than 1 month you are in red zone as the same happened in past... what is the mystery.. can anyone from Nagarro an honest review about this organization.

Or come work at Accenture where you aren't penalized for taking PTO
Fake news
Some people take unused vacation in April if they're on the bench specifically to boost effective utilization.
@OP is this new because of LEAD or are you talking about effective vs. full utilization?
I still can’t believe that’s a thing at big 4. Fuck that.
Isn't effective what matters, which factors in PTO?
Effective utilization is primary... they only look at full if you are borderline 5 or up for a 2.
Only effective matters. No one looks at full during round tables.
I see your point, but just work more than 40 hours a week while staffed and it balances out. It always did for me anyway.
D1 not if your firm calculates utilization based on a 45 hour work week not including travel
LEAD is BS. Im talking about effective utilization. Based on my conversations with senior managers, utilization will still be a factor in your annual review even if they don't spell it out
^yes, that's why we call it "effective" which is the metric that is used for evaluation
So then what is EY OP bitching about?
Effective utilization is adjusted for PTO and Holidays. Full Utilization is not adjusted and uses 2080 as the denominator. EY doesn’t care about effective utilization.
We moved to using effective utilization a few years ago. Maybe some parts of the firm didn't? Regardless, if your utilization is lower, then the firm is making less money on you, and will probably reward you less. Is that somehow surprising?
Whether effective or full, the billable hours are the same. The % just goes up or down based on whether PTO is included or not. Effective just seems like a nicer way to present it.
@All EY. if you look the ED framework from last year, for me as a staff, it is stated clearly that the target EFFECTIVE utilization that should be achieved. check them again.
Denominator is 40 hours per week, and PTO does not count against your effective utilization.
So does EY subtract PTO from the denominator then?
At Deloitte it's total billable hours divided by (2080*utilization target). There is no denominator decrease for holidays or PTO.
