Bain & Company Bain & Company Do you have any insights into what they are expecting in the second (last) round? I saw that there are two cases and a presentation. Are they more interested in professionalism than the "analytical" skills assessed in the first round? Do you have any more insights into the presentation?
Many thanks in advance

Hello I got a confirmation from HR at Shell that I have been selected for a role and there will be background checks before joining the company. He said the mail will come from a 3rd party vendor for the background verification. It has been 1 week and there has been no mails till now. Is it normal? Should I follow up with the HR again?

I just went through 5 zoom interviews over the past month and my advice is to make sure you give the interviewers a chance to finish talking before cutting in or responding. I think it’s a little harder to converse smoothly when overlapping speech is an obstacle due to the nature of the platform, especially with so many interviewers.

Practice before to make sure you have good lighting, your background is not distracting, and your clothing looks nice on camera.
Try to make eye contact with the camera, not the interviewers faces - it’s super awkward if you aren’t used to doing it.
Stare at the camera and not at their faces. I know, counterintuitive.
I’ve had two zoom interviews in the last two weeks (first and second interview at same firm) and I just made sure I had my suit all perfect from the waist up, that my office was perfectly clean, professional and well lit. I joined the call 2 mins ahead of schedule with mic off and camera off, then enabled when the manager started the call. Said hello to each partner and then proceeded to have 2 lovely interviews.
Each time had 2-3 partners on the call, and the COO. Be prepared for them to ask you a question then the other might piggy back off the partner first, so give a short 1 sec pause before answering to allow for that time. It’ll eventually feel organic.
You’ll do great.
