Switched jobs from a company that offers Vanguard 401ks to Fidelity. My personal brokerage was also under Vanguard.

I was thinking about consolidating everything under Fidelity but it seems like there are transaction fees for buying Vanguard mutual funds if I want to continue investing in my personal brokerage. Is there any way to dodge these fees or is it just normal for people to keep multiple investment accounts, one for a 401k and one for brokerages, if they don't match?

Random question - My dad took a whole life insurance policy for me when I was 15. Although the policy relates to me, the name of the policyholder is my dad and I would like to change it to me but keep the same beneficiaries. Is it possible to transfer from him to me? I’m 25 and have found a duplex I’m considering purchasing as a rental property. Planning on renting both units and have the cash to make the down payment without an issue. My cash flow analysis has a payback period of 3 years for my down payment and a 13 year payback period for the whole investment. I think financially it makes sense. My question is, is it realistic for a 25 year old young professional to handle dealing with all the extra curricular’s that come with owning a rental property ?
