Can I still work as a telemarketer even though I have a noticeable accent? People don't say they can't understand me but they seem relieved when they get to talk to somebody else. My boss won’t stop sexually harassing me. Verbally, email, texts - 400+. He even set up his office with a display of sex toys and edibles condiments to show me that he planned to give me oral sex. Hi 👋. I posted here a few weeks ago about being nervous conducting a PIP conversation with my team member.
I did it this week and let me just say it was the weirdest conversation ever. The guy is usually argumentative and tries to disprove every bit of feedback. But this time he just sat there and asked no questions and said nothing.
Maybe he’s looking for new jobs already - don’t mind this at all and this would be a good outcome for him overall.

Too many cooks in the kitchen

I love my job in special education, the job may bring quite a bit of stress and exhaustion but nothing compares to the stress of the related service team. OT, PT, speech, BCBA, social worker, etc etc is really what’s killing me this year. It is 23 days into the school year and the team members all make different plans and as a result, nothing is being accomplished. And if paraprofessionals follow ie what OT says but not PT, it cause so much unnecessary conflict!

High school special class (self-contained) teachers: What do you use for planning? I’ve always been an inclusive teacher, so I followed the plan book of my co-teacher. I can’t even decide if I should go digital or paper-based let alone make a final decision! I’ll be teaching 9-11th grade math and 11th grade science. The 11th grade classes I can very much do whatever I (or the student) want/need…there isn’t a set curriculum

I feel like I'm at my wits end. I teach self-contained classes and according to the ISBE website my classes shouldn't be more than 8 students unless I have an aide - then it can be 10. I have no aide and most of my classes are around 14 kids. Some with behavior plans that are only out of our behavior room setting for my class... Is anybody else out there going through illegal class sizes for self-contained? How are you dealing? Maybe a vent session is in order.

I have a parent that I questioning the accommodations we are providing to her daughter. Accommodations can be amended but the student does not do any work at home. Help!
