You’re better off chasing clients that have a good track record of knowing what good ideas look like. Bad clients rarely learn how to be good ones.

Yes. A large part of the job is educating clients. Your time is better spent creating good ideas you can defend with their marketing needs so you don’t have to rely on their taste, though.
Most clients know what a good idea looks like. The hardest part is getting them to do it.
Client cultures never reward managers for straying away from what their predecessors have always done before.
