Mindtree Hi Fishers,
I have an offer of 11.5 Fixed in an organisation and i was offered with the same fixed component from mindtree. I negotiated to offer 12 Fixed. HR agreed to my demand but in the offer letter its mentioned as 10.5 Fixed +VP which sums up to 12CTC.
What should i do? Please guide me.
It's always been a dream of mine to work at Google, specifically as a UX designer (currently transitioning into UX from visual design). I've been so afraid to apply to any jobs with UX title, Google or not, because I'm always doubting myself and telling myself I'm still under-qualified.
UX designers & hiring managers, what are the skills a designer must have to be "qualified" for a UX position? Keywords on resume? Certifications? Thank you all in advance!

In Germany, moms get 26 weeks paid maternity leave too. (Sweden allows 480 days paid at 80% normal pay)
I’m in meetings all day so I often catch up in the evenings. I won’t send any slack/teams messages after hours but I do email (and use send later feature in many situations). I don’t think this is a result of poor time management, I think it is a result of agencies abusing their people right now (and always) by putting a ridiculous amount of work on all their people.
I totally get it is annoying to have messages outside of ‘typical’ work hours but we’re all just trying to do our best.
Write the email, but send it the next morning. It’s to reduce stress on your team. This seemingly small adjustment really does make a big difference in preventing teams from getting burned out.
Or the flip side, responding to emails and slacks after work is penalized as poor interpersonal management.
Like, why's the world have to cater to you? Take some personal responsibility and just don't answer...
Such poor management. The occasional late night/weekend? Sure. It's not an hourly gig.
But chronic overwork means either leadership is incompetent, or intentionally stealing wages.
Or everyone can do their job on their own timeline, depending on their situation. Shouldnt expect responses to emails after hours, but should be able to send them.
No, I have them all switched off. I don’t even have Outlook on my phone at all.
But I do have self-awareness and empathy. In other words, I am aware that OTHER people on my team have these things installed on their phones, and if I email them their phone will buzz, and that it will stress them out. So I don’t do it. That’s what this discussion is about.
To be a good manager, you shouldn’t only think about yourself, you have to also consider the well-being of your team.
