Do you give yourself a lunch break when you WFH?
Living alone in a new city, I thought WFH would be lonely and depressing. Turns out I love not dealing with coworkers AND I've been reconnecting with old friends on animal crossing. This isnt so bad😂
We know all the married people on here gettin’ laid because WFH... or at least they were before someone got on someone’s last nerve. Shout out to the singles who were mid drought pre quarantine...
Moms out there wfh with a nanny that have an infant any suggestions for them to keep entertained? Mine is 10 months and I need some ideas for sensory play or just new fun activities for them
Good luck to those who are going into their first busy season! Yes, it’s daunting at first - we’ve all been there (albeit, not in a remote environment amidst a pandemic.) My best advice is to take one day at a time (marathon, not a sprint). Remember audit/tax/consulting is not life or death, and you WILL make it through. Have patience with yourself and your teams. Find a mentor! Don’t forget you can always find some moral support (read: self-deprecating humor) in your fellow fish!
No joke. I just found out one of our ADs takes his Apple monitor home when he decides to WFH because working off his laptop is annoying. I mean, isn’t that why you have a desk...
All clients need to explain conference call etiquette when WFH to their employees. So far I’ve heard people washing dishes, talking to their spouse and kids, making lunch, and playing with pets...
I’ve had issues since high school, but just formally got diagnosed with ADHD. I’ve always managed to get by okay at work (I’m no super star), but remote meetings have been really difficult for me and I now feel like I’m barely hanging on. Trying meds now, but no benefits yet. Pros and Cons of disclosing the diagnosis to my team, partner, or firm? I’m torn.
Where do you work and what are your company’s plan to return to office? Is it fully remote, hybrid or mandatory in office? Curious to know if other workplaces are also enforcing vaccination as a condition of employment.
Anyone else realizing that family, friends, and general relationships are SO much more important than accomplishments as a result of covid/WFH?
Moving to NYC next year, and my SO is based in Seattle. He is very keen to spend more time with me in NYC, even suggesting living there while remote working is still a thing. I’m a little hesitant bc we’ve only been dating for 2-3 months and it would feel like moving in tgt. Also not sure if i should be looking for a studio or 1br for more space but at a much higher price tag that i have to pay for. Any thoughts?
What are some impactful, remote (WFH) volunteer work I can do? I have some extra time on hand and can only think of education/tutoring.
I’m tired. I love wfh. But balancing it with cooking, cleaning, teacher, parent, caretaker - I’m drained. I want to sleep and wake up when it’s all over
Hi, I’m looking to intern/volunteer/freelance WFH; My background is in Communication and Digital Media: I also can assist you with admin tasks. FYI I speak Spanish, in case you need to translate docs.
Looking for a senior graphic designer for a facebook ad design. Looking to build a retainer relationship, for additional projects. We are located in Chicago, but open to remote. Hit me up. 👌🏻
Weirdest thing done while wfh during a meeting?
Assuming you started out of college in consulting, do you include internships or other companies? I have more than enough to easily fill the whole page w ACN, thinking about removing my internship
Looking to buy a new watch to celebrate a recent promotion. Stuck between the JLC Master Ultra Thin Moon and the JLC Reverso Classic and wanted to get the bowl’s opinions. For context, the other pieces I have right now are the Rolex Submariner Date 16610 and the Rolex Daytona Ceramic Black 116500ln. Also open to any alternatives!
Anyone have experience getting individual insurance? Thinking of getting individual dental insurance since I need $2k+ in ortho stuff that's not covered by my employer's offered plan
Help! Got an offer to start on Oct 19th (non-consulting), but I just found out i got a MBB interview. Do I go ahead and accept the offer? The company knows I’m in the midst of other interviews. what’s the best way to keep my options open??

Just started at big4 as experienced hire, team cannot train me because no one has experience with the client due to scheduling issues, and industry is exactly the opposite of what I was told I’d be gaining exposure to in my interview (the only reason I accepted this offer). Can I request a switch? I have never regret accepting an offer more to be honest.
Thinking of taking a job that would be 2 days/week in office, and the company has said they would put me up in a hotel between those two days as it's a pretty long commute. Am I crazy for thinking about doing this? My husband says he's fine with it and can handle it, but will I miss too much being gone a night every week with a toddler at home?
How do firms track LCA violations? Consultant on my team has a pending LCA, but is traveling to client location regardless. Just charging time to his home location. What are the implications?
Thoughts on Chime? Accepted offer from Apple then they hit me up with a higher comp band (recruiter not even applied). Add in pre IPO it’s a higher risk higher reward
Starting at Monitor Deloitte as SC next week! Any advice for someone brand new to consulting (previously an engineer who did an MBA to pivot)? Especially starting virtually! Any advice would be greatly appreciated!
How valuable is having a B4 name on the resume? Currently at a boutique and have the option to join B4 (not KPMG) or industry. Industry would pay more for the first couple years. Wondering if B4 would be the better option for the long run
I'd love to hear about what people are doing to stand out in providing feedback for candidates who made it to the final interview stage but did not make the offer.
Wilkie Farr real estate group, any insight? Main type of work/clients, WLB, decent people?
Hi, does one need to know how to swim to do scuba diving? I can float and swim on shallow side but not in deep end but I really want to get a beginners diving certification. Please advice
