McKinsey & Company I am joining the McKinsey & Company Boston office in late July and searching for housing in the meantime. If I could get some insight on the ratio of days in the office vs work from home that would be super helpful!
If I need to come into the office regularly I will try to find a place close by.

Anyone have experience working CWX side of Facebook (Meta) ? These are the full time contract roles that potentially turn into permanent roles directly with Facebook (Meta). Had a recruiter reach out and offering me comparable TC and such, just curious if anyone has experience in these roles and success/failure of transitioning into permanent role. Thanks in advance!

Doesn't matter if she was in GDS or India entity. It's all the same. It's just nonstop grind and zero empathy
They think ppl in GDS should just handle anything and everything. They should improve the working conditions and pay for people in the US so people don’t quit after working barely 2-3 years rather than taking advantage of people in 3rd world countries.
It’s not a girl from GDS but she was in audit at EY India and died
A new associate at KPMG New York jumped off the building earlier this year. That news was quickly swept under the rug.
nah, I’ve been in PA for 28 years. Back in the days around 1997 when I was still a staff working with another staff for a firm that is no longer around Andersen today, we pulled in an all nighter. I came in at 8 did not leave the office until 10AM the next day. As I was heading out I saw a little crowd gathered near the front Conf room. I was curious, stopped by and checked it out. Apparently my colleague, a guy, I still remember his name until this day, Jeff, had collapsed on the floor. Luckily, he regained his conscious shortly after that. He did not die. I went home slept for a few hours then came back to the office the same day to continue working. That was when no off shoring occurred yet, not until 2004 when DT was the first one started that whole India offshoring model. That was when no WFH ever came into existence so yeah people collapsing happened due to long hours. This happened in the SF office on Spear Street for real, 34th Floor or 32nd FLoor.
SA 1 is absolutely correct! I worked ungodly hours and nothing but moving the goal post.
