No you should not include that story
Thx
I don’t think you finished writing the story - you haven’t been back selling - you don’t know how it’s going to go. Your story is basically saying someone is rolling the dice that you might relapse when you get back into selling.
Thx
I don't think I would share in the interview unless you feel it is right and they ask why there was a break in employment. It's an incredible story and one to be so insanely proud of (Congrats!!). You will definitely inspire a ton of people with your journey, too. Maybe even help others on the way in theirs. BUT I would wait until you're hired and understand the audience. You don't want anyone downplaying your resilience or viewing it in any other way than a true success.
Thank you! ❤️
It's a powerful story and you should definitely tell it. I probably wouldn't personally tell it during an interview though. You don't wanna give them a reason to discount you, and not everybody is as progressive about recovery. But good for you! You should feel proud of yourself and I respect your sobriety journey.
First and foremost I'm PROUD OF YOU for taking your like back!! 🙏Getting sober is hard work and staying sober is a daily commitment few understand. It is because not everyone understands the struggle that I would not share it. Down the line if you find a trusted soul you can certainly share it, but for job interviews I would recommend letting your skillset set the precedence. You should be very proud of yourself for picking you a** off the ground!! Stay strong and good luck!!!
I wish I were a hiring manager. And it’s quite sad that so many people say Not to share (for good reasons, but sad). Keep going!!! I’d love to hear the rest of this story!!!!
