Toronto ad fish 🤠 I’ve spent most of my career working as a copywriter in London (6 years here, 2 years Toronto) and the market is pretty different here. I’m planning on moving back home but wondered….how do you find work in Toronto? Agencies barely post openings, is the recruiter scene strong? Is it mostly who you know?
I think cognizant has the worst HRs, like i dropped an email a couple of weeks ago to re-negotiate my offer but they didn't care to respond. I dropped an email saying I am withdrawing my offer and they still didn't care to respond. Why are they hiring if they don't care? Deloitte USI Tata Consultancy Wipro Accenture India Infosys
Bain & Company Bain & Company Do you have any insights into what they are expecting in the second (last) round? I saw that there are two cases and a presentation. Are they more interested in professionalism than the "analytical" skills assessed in the first round? Do you have any more insights into the presentation?
Many thanks in advance

Just get a good sleep before the day of your interview. Try to compartmentalize your feelings. It's normal that people get burnt out. Just get good rest and take some deep breaths.
I would say try to take a break before the interview if you can, prepare in advance, focus on your achievements, get support from your colleagues, and prioritize your self-care.
Create some distances. Instead of forcing one application a day, make it every other day, or a couple per week, as you have probably already started doing. Or also consider more frequent breaks from the whole job search process. We get time off from work, and if people have to treat the job search like a full-time job, they also need to take vacation away from that job.
Engage in more mindfulness activities. It can be a hobby or preparing a meal or watching a television show. Focus on that one activity and doing it to completion, in the hopes of gaining a sense of accomplishment. It works for me.
Set realistic, and not necessarily easy, goals to attain. Something that will require significant contributions from you to finish.Unless there's a critical timeline, you can afford the occasional breaks. I see folks put everything and their whole selves into the job search, forgetting that there are other aspects of life to maintain and grow. These are just a few common ways to combat burnout, and it's more important to find a strategy that works best for you in your situation.
Plan something. Dinner to make. Movie to stream. Board game to play. A hypothetical road trip. Something that you decided to make happen. Do it for yourself, or somebody else. Basically, just breathe and be kinder to yourself.
You need to clear your mind first. You cannot give a proper interview. The interviewers will surely notice it.
Take a good rest before the interview. And you can also treat yourself to dinner or lunch after the interview.
