In my last week of work I made a mistake in an immigration pro bono case. Long story short, in order to remedy it, whoever takes the case over may have no choice but to argue ineffective assistance of counsel and make a bar complaint against me. i had my canadian pr last year but didn’t do the landing since covid hit. the deadline passed of course and the immigration office reached out to check if i’m still interested and if so i should re-do a medical. assuming my medical goes through and my pr is processed and accepted again, does anyone know if landing is still a thing? my original plan was to do a landing and move after 2 years. is this still possible or does canada basically want you to move in a year or so after pr is granted?

I’ve developed an eye twitch from being surrounded by people who don’t understand how to set up a creative team for success. Even thinking about it—twitch, twitch.

Currently working on the most disorganized pitch I’ve ever seen. The GCD is running it and he is unable to make decisions, give feedback or any clear direction. He invites all creative teams to every check-in and then relies on the account team to email any feedback to the whole group. So he won’t meet teams individually or document anything. I’m equal parts amused and horrified. I would’ve posted this in the advertising or creative bowl but I think he might read it and know it’s about him. 😅

I took a UX class through UCLA Extension for a quarter and so far (from a fairly objective view) I'm ahead of the game than the rest of my peers since I already have a lot of transferrable skills like software & design skills.
