I would try to generally identify what it is that triggers your anxiety (or what thing(s) that prevents it are absent) and then try to pin it down as specifically as possible.
- I am generally stressed to wale up everyday > because work is stressful > because of the early mornings / lack of team communication / because X
If you're already speaking with a professional idk what else I can add. Just sitting with yourself and really exploring to get to the root isn't for everyone but I personally find it helpful.
Oh I would prioritize finding a therapist you speak with at minimum on a bi-weekly cadence. Hit and miss session scheduling is a nonstarter
Does EY have any mental health/coaching resources? No longer at Deloitte so I don’t remember what all they have, but my current company has free sessions with Lyra and I’ve been working with a coach to get through my anxiety around virtual meetings and presentations. Would highly recommend. But yeah...between that and exercise, that’s been the most helpful. I know you’ve already tried some of this but, just know that you’re not alone in going through this stuff. It’s an anxious time and it’s okay to feel anxiety right now, and lots of other emotions too.
Thank you, yeah EY has counseling sessions and will also start with a coach within the next few weeks. I’ll still continue my current methods but wanted to see what other factors I could try as well.
Reading something called the “Personal Bill of Rights” every morning helps me a lot. I do it right after meditation or immediately after an anxiety provoking interaction. Google it.
The book Four Agreement might be a good read for you.
