Hello, I'm looking at a position within Paypal. My question, what is the work life balance, expectation for office (hybrid/remote/other) and is the pay comparable to other companies? Reviewing Director and Senior Director roles on the business side. I have over 15 years experience with multiple degrees. TIA!
Hi all, recently in touch by Spotify recruiter for a Sec Engineer position for remote EU and was told that range was 60-80 out of base salary and equity. Had 2 years of security experience out of my 4 years. Was also told that there is no bonus scheme or no sign in bonus 😕 Not sure how I feel about this tbh.
What do you think?

I hear you, but I’ve seen people thrive with this freedom. A friend built a steady client base doing contract work and finally stopped commuting. Now she chooses her hours, works from home, and doesn’t miss the firm life one bit. For her, it turned out to be more secure than staying put.
Correct, I am a paralegal contractor for an alternative legal company. I have been working remotely since 2021. As a contractor, I have medical benefits, 401k and PTO. No more billable stress as I primarily work with various in-house legal departments. Assignments last from 3 months to a year. If you start as 3 months, the likelihood of getting extended is pretty high. You have the flexibility of choosing your next assignment. No more commuting, no more billable stress and toxic environment. I hope more paralegals will be open to these roles. You won't regret it.

I work outside the walls of a firm. It gives me flexibility to balance my life a bit more, expand my services to other firms, and be able to stay in the comfort of my own home, take my work with me wherever I go, and last, it maintains the peace.
I was just looking at roles today and seeing a lot of remote paralegal roles. When I worked as a paralegal there was not any remote roles and now there are tons. I am definitely hoping to land something remote.
Sorry, it’s 8:30am-5 or 8am-5pm. I’ve NEVER had a 9-5 and I’ve worked in the legal field for a long time
