ONE p&t partner? yikes.
I have had several rounds of interviews for a role at Visa London office. When I reached out to the HR to check on progress/status after what they called the "final round", they said everything is positive and then set up another round with the hiring manager last week. TBH, that round seemed as if they want to make sure I have understood the job well. And there has been radio silence after that. Any idea how to read this? I have another offer and deliberating if i should just accept that.

LEK = CDDs, great exit ops & pay. But they work you hard for it
@C2, ah, you’re right there then🙂& id agree with you. I’ve been 40% strategy, 60% DDs myself. Cheers.
I can't even get either of those firms to look at me, so I envy you no matter what choice you make
Don’t discredit yourself just yet.
(Not to sound preachy by any means) I came from a lower tier university and did not start with Strategy&. All credit goes to nonstop applying to jobs, improving my consulting skills / tool kit, and mainly luck.
Keep applying and I’m sure you’ll land somewhere amazing
What’s their offer?
Money isn’t a factor? $150k is a huge jump from $150k with 2 YOE
You have 1 YOE and was offered the Consultant role? Take it in a heartbeat
Enthusiast
That’s really good, 3 YOE as a C?

Go for it - I mainly targeted PE actually but somehow got a VC offer that was a great fit personally
Came to LEK as an associate from another firm for that reason. There’s a lot of CDD but also a fair amount of strategy work, just luck whether you get staffed on those though
Got it. Yeah I mean if your goal is pe/vc then CDDs will set you up well for recruiting. I think most ppl that leave LEK for those roles are below the consultant level, but if you’re interested in that you can probably network your way to some smaller shops
Can you get promoted to SA at mid-years? If so, it might be worth staying
Damn they reached out even tho you’ve only been here a year? Great opp!
