This is a massive issue that often gets over looked. I assume this is an HR manager?
It may take a conversation with another higher level manager. Often these are perspectives and outlooks that aren’t considered without complaint.
I’m sure many here will belittle this, but the organization is separate from social politics. All lives DO matter in the workplace.
False. Trying to determine how is equity.
Remember there needs to be a balance. Focusing on one will cause an adverse impact to another. Acknowledge everyone effort equally and address outstanding individual who went beyond the norm. But then you also need to examine if everyone got the same opportunity. Manager should be able to identify each of their member strength and weaknesses to help the team grow. Like you give kudos to the star employee but also give props to the assistant who learn and grow as well. You’re building a team and not the individual.
