Went to HR to complain about horrible manager. Will I get fired or let go? I was just speaking up for myself.

You didn't fuck up and you won't get fired. You stood up for what you believed in. It depends on your HR department as far as the actionable outcome. For example, if 10 other people also made formal complaints that are consistent with your story, HR would be more willing to take an action regarding that manager. If your complaint provided solid evidence, maybe they won't need further back up. Depending on the complaint, HR may be able to keep your anonymity. Additionally, getting fired means that the company may have to pay unemployment. If they wanted you gone, they would make your life miserable enough for your you to quit. Stand your ground. There's no reason you should be putting up with a horrible manager. Good Luck. P.S. I made a complaint against a superior with a very long tenure in the company. I still work there and am pretty happy. That person is no longer around.
