The best exits are ones where you’re able to bridge the tech implementation with the business context.
If you’re purely specialized on the tech, the ceiling for career growth is quite low.
Pigeon holing is dumb in regards to platforms. They are all the same just with different flavors.
I worked with one for the majority of my career and have since switched and it’s more or less the same. I’ve progressed *substantiallly* by switching.
FAANG or other big tech product management is a popular exit for big 4 / acn tech consultants as the process is similar to building tech products with the end user. Possibly the main feeder actually next to MBAs as they like the data skills and metrics. SaaS sales is also very lucrative. Fortune 500 IT director or VP can pay well too $350k+. Some choose to do C2C contracts and can make $500k+ running a few at a time. Lots of opportunities. Tech is the cash cow for consulting firms. Too much business and opportunity out there with this background. $300k-$500k should be very attainable with 7 yoe in consulting. Big 4 sr managers already cross 300k after a couple years at that level anyway.
Looking forward to more responses on potential exit opportunities
