Hi Everyone,
I had received an offer from IBM for Bangalore location but I want to have Kolkata as my bas location. I have asked my HR SPOC to revise the offer letter and get me the same. He said he will get back to me but I haven't heard from him and it has been 3 days. Will it be entertained? IBM

Dumbest thing you’ve had to do for a partner?
Best/Top Consulting firms in Miami?
This is what I got from google—- seems you can enter at a senior PL aiming to be principal ? Is that correct read of this chart?
Not a great idea to come in as a senior PL in my opinion, even if that is an option (not sure it is...) Principal can be rough without a strong network, and part of your promotion criteria to Principal from PL is the likelihood of you making Partner (i.e. are the odds of you eventually becoming a partner >50%) .
You’re better off coming in as a PL1 - the base is likely more than you make now and the bonus is good - then you have time to figure out what BCG is all about and you can build that network.
Pay is same across the US and it would be around the same in base but with up to 50% bonus if you’re a top performer
If you’re in core BCG (eg our TA practice) then no it is standard. If you’re in Platinion or DV I don’t know
Thanks B2, that sounds like Senior Associate in our world. So what are the the different levels?
No it isn’t an SA. After a PL there aren’t three levels, there are 2.
It’s the first management level. You run a full team, likely with some involvement from a more senior manager (“Principal”) in your early PL days, but you call the shots for the day to day running of the project
It depends on country you are in. For bcg associate is 2 years post UG and some countries have senior associate for an additional year. Consultant is post mba role for 2 years until project leader (PL) which is essentially manager.
PL1, my current base is a little shy of 2 in Atl. Do the PL in atl make more?
B2, does the bonus depend on service lines and geography/industry? I do think it should but trying to figure it out.....I am looking at Tech strategy..so not sure
