Live at home, pay off debt, fix up family’s home.
I just paid for a new kitchen recently. The full remodel was $15K.
My stock portfolio is now at $350K.
I am 27.
I don’t work at BNYM, I work in a tech company.
Total comp this year has been $220K.
$120K of that is base salary and the rest is all in stock. I am doing a masters, but I haven’t been paying on my student loans and instead I kept everything in the stock market.
When I worked at BNYM I made $80K starting out and ended at $100K mainly due to higher cost location.
I went to college.
Same!
Not a clue! Would love some ideas though. I feel like everything is so expensive and difficult that getting ahead is impossible. Anybody else struggling with the day to day and not really looking ahead much financially? I do think things will get better, it’s just a matter of making it until then!
Same here. My dad has a computer science degree and my mom has always been a homemaker they did just fine. Me and my boyfriend don't have degrees but we're broke with both out incomes (about 50k combined yearly) going back to school doesn't seem worth it. We already can't get past credit card loans and one semester of student loans from last year even after not taking out anymore loans.
Retirement savings and planning for the future.
