What do you do when you haven't been paid on time? We are now very overdue on invoice payments. Rent and amex due in 3 days and it's not a fun feeling! This is a super common occurrence for me, and I wonder if this is normal? Or because we're a female team. I also wonder if we are being too generous with our wording and need to get more firm.
*side note I now know to do the 5% invoice thing because of this form. That's a whole other other topic.

I have an H1b which I received in 2019 and was valid till august2021, due to covid I wasn't able to travel and then I switched to another firm last year in November. If I get visa transfer, will it provide me a validity back as I haven't used any on site time on that visa.

Last year due to covid got laid off and then didn't got any opportunity due to visa issues. Later myself and my family got covid positive and unfortunately my father expired due to covid.
So I have got gap of 1.3 years in my career.
Now I want to start giving interviews and get back in the game.
My concern is with 2 things here
1. I lack confidence/motivation due to the gap.
2. How do I address this gap in resume ?

Is it difficult to move without a reference. I got all the skills needed in current job market. But looks like getting a job call itself is difficult.
Or is it because of My H1B visa status.
