The week of my wedding, my husband (PL SQL Developer 4 yoe) was laid off. That was a couple of weeks ago. Luckily I'm still bringing money in as a software engineer, but I'm looking for advice on how to support a partner who has been laid off. Ultimately I think we will be ok, but I know he's hurting / stressed / and could use a supportive partner.

FX & Treasury Sales Job at a bank in India

I work at an US bank in a middle office role in India but I’m not liking it much because it’s process oriented. Now I’m getting an offer from an Indian based bank for the Treasury and FX sales role but I’m so confused about the job security and targets. My questions are below:

1) Will I be asked to work for 12 hours?
2) Will I be given targets and if I don’t meet it, will I be fired or something?

No matter how much good feedback I get and how well received my work is by clients, I constantly assume I’m about to be called in to the CEO’s office and fired.

How do you tow the fine line between sticking up for yourself and not talking back to a partner? For context, our firm has seemingly started making a paper trail for layoffs and I disagree with some of the emails that I have received. I want to respond in a way that covers my own ass. Currently a manager for an OP clinic. Gave my notice after receiving an offer back in patient care for more money and a better schedule. Spoke to my RVP today who had nothing but positive feedback. He asked for feedback on how to prep the next non-clinical manager as others in the region have been fired or underperformed. Should I be insulted he did not offer me a raise? I received a job offer from a major tech company that has been working remotely during Covid. However, they want me to work in the office three days a week starting in January. Given everything that’s happening with COVID in NYC, I’m hesitant. Before the current surge in cases I was open to it, but now it seems very risky. How should I navigate this? Total Pkg - 255K(Base - 136K,MBO - 9K,Commision - 49K,RSU - 60K/4year).
