Got a random email from a supposed Amazon recruiter for a SDE position (which is not at all a fit). The email is amazon.com domain and there are no red flags in the body but it doesn't feel like an Amazon recruiter due to the tacky signature, etc. Has anyone seen this kind of cold-calling from FAANG recruiter?

CSR
One without a fee or the other end- csr
CSR pays for itself. But if you're against annual fees, Freedom, Freedom Unlimited and Citi Double Cash are all good. Fidelity 2% if you want your rewards to go into a retirement account
D2- CSR def pays for itself, but what about the $450 fee for the next 12 years. Do you think that it continues to pay for itself year after year? Just wondering. Considering upgrading my CSP to CSR, but not an urgent need for me right now
Do the ROI. 1x return, no fee, vs. CSR with $450 fee. Use whatever value you think the points are worth ($0.02?) and calculate based on average spend. Easy
Don't trade in your freedom for something flashy!
CSR - $450 annual, but $300 Travel Credit every CY
D1, every calendar year. So you can get now and then again in January 2017. Google Radpad btw... Best of luck
Get the whole chase family. Chase freedom, freedom unlimited, and sapphire reserve. 1.5% - 5% on all purchases plus 1.5 value on each point for travel.
K1 5/24 screwed me on the CSR part of that, stuck with "only" the CSP 😂
K1 I can't. At 5/24. Technically, I could upgrade CSP to CSR in January but I wouldn't get the sign up bonus. I'll likely hold off on churning until next June and get CSR then. Or product change in Jan if they drastically lower the bonus
@D2 I was well over 5/24 and denied for CSR online. Went into a branch, and they confirmed I was preapproved for it. They re-filed the application using the same hard pull, and I was approved a few days later. Could be worth a shot.
Actually, i stand by it- one without a fee. You'll want to keep it open as long as possible to show your credit history. You don't want to be charged a fee every year to do this.
Do it now. get the 100K by using your rent to meet the 4K spend. Any fees for using credit card by a service will be somewhat a offset by the 3x points earned on those fees. Also the rent charges will earn 3x. After that it's up to you... Free money. My thoughts... Reddit/churning has been very helpful for me.
Great advice, P1, but can't pay rent with card right now. Do we think the current 100k promo will last?
Do you get the $300 on travel every calendar year no matter how much you spend in that CY?
Thanks!
D1 I hope you don't mean product changing when you say upgrade. That sign up bonus is unbelievable.
As for the long haul? I would use the $300 credit easily so it's really a $150 AF to me.
So is it worth the extra $55 from CSP? For $55 you get an extra point/$ on travel/dining, a raw value of 1.5 cpp vs 1.25 on Chase Travel (note that this still counts as a revenue fare in the airline's mind. Also note that this is HIGHER than what SW gives for their own points) and Priority Pass Lounge Access. I'd pay $55 for that
D2 looks like it's time to cancel your CSP and apply for CSR!
E1 No dice there yet. Planning to check preapproval monthly 😁
