well I googled, one website says that a salary of $70k should increase to $136k in NY without considering taxes, but NY has the no.1 or No.2 highest state tax in the United states if I remember correctly. does the site make sense? if it does, that is bit scary of difference in terms of living expenses!
I’m under the impression that tax director/senior manager generally starts at 180k so I’d imagine a tax manager 3 to be about 160-170?
well I heard that speciality practice actually gets paid more which is different from what you say...
that might makes sense...if the specialty is much needed there, would it be higher? it's a big move, so I don't want to regret
Too broad a question - JD/LLM? M&A experience? What do you consider without specialty to mean at that level of role?
specialty is fiduciary, no JD or LLM, but I have been on some fairly large engagements
For some reference - I was at $124k as a M3. Financial Services Tax group (hedge funds and PE) out of NJ. I may be on the lower side partly due to being home grown. CPA/MST
thanks. NJ may be lower than NY? though technically you can work in NY and live in NJ. Mine is CPA/master in accounting
thanks!
$125-170K
that's a really wide range, not sure that is ok to give...
