What type of roles can Sap Consultants look for outside consulting world? I have been thinking about the switch to Industry but my resume is not able to articulate that since it’s so Sap consulting heavy. Looking for some guidance on applying for Technical Program Manager or Product Manager roles and how to best prepare for that transition ?

Big Tech is possible without M7 but you are going have to really change your resume

Few Pointers:

Remove SAP from your resume entirely and replace it with something like “cloud based technology platform” and replace “implementation” with “digital strategy”

Do not mention any module as it wouldn’t matter

For starters show more about the business value and impact in terms of dollars and also understanding of user personas and experience from the user perspective

Network with alumni especially if from target school but even if you are not, try to find something in common and go for it

Best of luck OP!!

Tonnes of roles. Module specific, industry specific, Basis, ABAP… any company that is a SAP house will have multitude of roles. You need to ID what industry and module you are good at and then surface if you are a technical or a functional consultant.

Any advice on a first year trying to transition from family law to in-house? I always thought family law was my path, and used to enjoy it, but it’s not the direction I want to head in anymore. I don’t think I even want to continue with any litigation work. I’m having a hard time finding firms that are hiring entry level associate positions that don’t require at least 3+ years experience in-house. Should I start at a business law firm to get experience working with corporations first?

I am a business development manager in a small biotech incubator. My end goal is to work in commercial, BD or operations within a big pharma/biotech company. What would be best for me:

1) stay in my company to quickly become BD Director and then exit (however my learning opportunities within my current company might be limited)
2) go do consulting for a few years
3) any other recommendations?

Thanks!

Is HNW tax a trap? It's my strongest skillset (including the soft-skills aspect of dealing with those clients) and I got appoached for a job that focuses more on HNW, but I don't know if it's a good idea to focus in on that direction at my career stage. (I think I'll follow up on the approach anyway because it's not 100% HNW.)

I definitely could use the extra paycheck to help out with my financial obligations. Just wanted to see if anyone has done this before.

Got a 30% salary bump, via an offer for Senior Consultant S&O from Deloitte. Currently underpaid at EY Advisory. I'm MBA and this year is my promotion year at EY for Manager. What to do? Get demoted and move to D? Or counter at EY? Even if EY matches my salary, and promote me to Manager, I will be an EY Manager with a Deloitte SC salary, and probably won't be able to go to D in the future. What do you think? I have built up a good relationship with my Partner and SMs at EY though.

Hi everyone, I'm new to Canada and want to start my career here in the Financial and Banking industry. I have passed the CFA level 2 exam and was wondering if I have to complete the Canadian Securities Course (CSC) as most of the job postings here mention about it. I saw that if someone passes at least the CFA level 1 exam then the requirement of CSC is exempted. Can anyone enlighten me about this? As the CSC exam costs above 1000 CAD, I wanted to be sure if I need it before investing behind it.

I have not yet received a follow up after this(coming on two weeks) so I know that I've been ghosted. My question is, was I wrong to ask to see the offer before making a decision?
