I am looking to enter big law. I had a clerkship on a state Business Calendar and am a current first year litigation associate where I have prepared for a trial, taken and defended depositions, and have extensive motion writing practice in tech, business, and employment cases. Is it a waste of time to try and make a move to big law with such few years of experience?

I work as an AGM in a busy restaurant. Been working there for just over a year, and haven't had a single raise. I now only make 0.50 cents more than even the lowest paid shift lead but I am doing a lot more work. I'm no longer satisfied with these conditions. Should I try to negotiate a raise or look for other opportunities?

I've been in the same job for 8 years (longest tenure in my career) and I was looking at a friend's LinkedIn profile. He's been at 5 companies during that period. With ramp times that can go from a year to 18 months and sales cycles that are 9 - 18 months long in the SaaS space, how does one succeed by job hopping so much?

What do you do to fight burnout? Got a raise yesterday and will get another in September, for dealing with a lot of stuff, but I can't shake the burnout.

Need some advice, I honestly suck at sales and it’s just something that’s effecting my mental health. I have grit and I bang out a bunch of calls but I’m not seeing any fruits of my labor. My anxiety of getting fired have been through the roof and I honestly just want to do something else but all I have is recruiting exp along with SDR experience but I have. Certifications In Customer success which I actually understand. Just looking for a possible referal for a functional position.

Hello, first post here. Outside sales, merchant services/card processing. I’m primarily a welder but I work 4 10-hour shifts typically then I try sales the last three days. I’ve done it long enough to where I’m confident and comfortable going to new businesses, establishing some rapport with business owners. But it seems like a lot of businesses see this as a waste of time, even adding services and cutting costs. I guess either I’m looking for advice or considering not doing this anymore.

Been working for my company for over a year now. 14/15 months. Started me at 48k after college. No pay increase yet, I travel and do sales for an engineering company. Projects and products I sell can range from 5k-4million. But I don’t make commission, and neither do my co-workers. We’re a relatively small company. Where do I start the conversation with my boss on commission? And what are some of you other account managers/traveling sales people make?

I’m in a sales support role and almost always receive very positive feedback in my 1:1 meetings with my bosses and during my more formal year end reviews, but I can’t help but feel like I’m stuck or I’m missing something that’s stopping me from getting to the next level.
