At Citi, the AVP salary is 1. Role dependent (front-mid-back office) and 2. Location dependent. If you can provide more details...

How to get into cloud? I am stuck in a project that is not giving me the opportunity to learn more technologies. I do want to learn more cloud but only have the associate as dev cert and its expiring soon. I am looking for new opportunities and am curious if I should go for reach positions where cloud related tech is forefront vs positions where my main skill is forefront(java). For the main Java roles there are cloud related skills (at least in the requirements for position) there...thanks

Does anyone have suggestions for how to negotiate a severance? I was laid off with zero warning after being told my job was secure. They blindsided me. They’re also trying to get me to sign the NDA ASAP so we can “leave on good terms”. They made sure to draw my attention to the non disparagement clause. I have 21 days to sign, so not sure what that means from a risk factor situation for them. I asked for additional comp and health insurance. They came back with slightly better package.

What are your thoughts on the chief of staff role at a startup? I want to get into tech startups but don’t have an “idea” yet and am not a “builder/engineer”. I read the JDs for this type of role and it sounds like a great role for a former management consultant/strategic advisor and a good way to get into startups and set yourself up to run your own startup some day…is my understanding correct or should I approach getting into startups a different way?
