What do you wish you had known before becoming a manager?

Hello, I’m current a Cyber Security Incident Responder but I’m a little unclear on what path to take in terms of certs/career path. What should I aim for? I current have a CompTia Security + cert and Splunk Enterprise Certified Admin. I’d also prefer the blue team or purple team.

Just starting in cloud work, what certs would you recommend to start the learning process? AWS, Microsoft, Comptia etc…TIA!

A good friend of mine graduated from Parsons this past summer, has degrees in Journalism and French, is a talented photographer and designer (which I feel I have a pretty decent eye for after working at a design-driven branding agency for half a decade). Personally, I am interested in Lev Finance/Financial Sponsors Group because of the opportunity to build skills and networks to transition to PE.
