What's the biggest difference between a junior associate and mid-senior associate in transaction groups? If a junior wants to grow into a strong junior-senior associate (if we take years out of the equation), what does that junior need to demonstrate?

The biggest difference for me was the expectation that I move matters forward without being told to do so.

The caveat though is not to do random shit because you’re trying to take initiative. Juniors do this sometimes but they have no idea what they’re doing.

I think the happy medium is to treat the deal like you’re the project manager and you want to keep a handle on things, help things progress, and bring in stakeholders as needed.

I have been giving interviews for web automation roles since Feb and got my first offer on 1st March.

I have hands-on experience with only desktop based application automation using Vbscript, Shell script, Jenkins, JUnit, Docker and Azure.

I have acquired quite a good grasp on Selenium, Java, Rest Assured through online.

What could be the expectations from a Senior QA role in a company like Informatica?
As I don't have hands-on experience with web automation I am a bit anxious.

Finally, now that WFH is more accepted (thanks 2020), do you think more industries will “reimagine” this arbitrary 40+ hr. work week?

Some orgs tried/have proven to be more productive with less (e.g. 6hr work days, 4 day work weeks) but I don’t know if consulting leaders are enthusiastic about normalizing this since “it’s the land of billable hours”...

One for the London lawyers - Have any of you worked in Singapore for a year or more and then moved back to the UK? How difficult was it to make the move back home? Do you think this impacted your career (either in a positive or negative way)? How did you find the quality of work out there? I’m consider moving but i want an idea of how easy it would be to come back to the UK if things don’t work out. Thank you!
