Same pay and compensation, I can say that I am not missing that at all. Guess being home every night and being with family is what I have been missing all these years.
Local > traveling every damn time
😍😍😍
Give it time
Damn how did you get a job in 2 weeks. I’ve been trying for months 😭
^^^ ya it's a trade off between being on roads and miss imp events and moments or be local and enjoy a 8-5 life. If you get the same amount of income then it's icing on the cake too. But honestly when I look back to the poisonous culture that I was part of for a decade, I don't miss it at all. Day by day it's becoming more poisonous than it was a decade back. Good luck. Let me know if you want to chat about opportunities.
So sweet—congrats!
I’m in a spot in my life where I just want experience, but in 2-5 years I wanna be right in your shoes. Congrats!
A1: a decade of being on road right after masters definitely is not something that I want to go back to until and unless required.
OP... Never say never. As a person who has been there, I eventually found that I prefer to travel.
I am in similar spot .... switched to another big4 and heavy travel/16 hours work is not working out. Done with Big4, looking for stable 9-5 contract job
M1: what are your interest? Maybe I can help
S1: I am into contracting, so that helped. Let me know if you want to know more.
Took me 2 months to find a contract role...unlike you I don’t have a technical skill set 😭
I’ve been looking for 4 months this is becoming a mental exercise! I’m with you OP, besides the no income part I don’t miss the constant travel with Big 4 but I do miss the energy consulting gives me
