Hello people, how common is a Amazon to PWC move ?
I’m interviewing for a Senior Associate role and TC seems to be more competitive than role in L5.
TC $114k- Base AMZ- $73k +$38kstocks ( vesting 17k$ due next year)
TC $135k Base PWC -$81$ + Bonuses ( 50k$)
Looking for managerial skills which the PWC role avails, and L6 promo doesn’t seem to be happening soon in current role. I’m also mentally stretched. I hear WLB in PWC is just as busy but can anyone confirm if this move makes any sense. Google Amazon

In my experience, it depends on the company. Some are strict about tying raises to performance reviews, while others allow flexibility if you’ve taken on more responsibility or exceeded expectations. It’s worth checking your company’s policy or having a candid convo with your manager about timing and norms at your particular company. Some companies are more flexible than they first appear in my experience
I would imagine that most companies entertain the notion at performance reviews (and, of course, that's a main purpose of the reviews). But I could see someone advocating for a raise in some special circumstance. Meaning if they pulled off some astounding feat and wanted to strike while the iron was hot. But realistically speaking, performance reviews would usually be the forum where that would occur.
Raises happen once a year (March/April) and are tied to performance reviews. Promotions can occur at any point in the year and also typically come with a raise.
Here "raises" (often below inflation) happen twice a year depending on where you sit in the company and are a flat rate for everyone in those jobs and is not tied to performance.

Yeah ours is basically only mid-year and end of year raises/performance reviews
