Don’t email. Only do calls and in-person meetings, then talk really really reeeeeeally sloooooooooooooowly.
But also SAD1 is right, there’s nothing too stall until you have an offer letter. In fact, once you have an offer letter from one, it’s probably easier to speed the other up with that info rather than slow down the other.
If I’m extending an offer, I’m making the verbal Friday around lunch time, written letter sent by EoD Friday, giving them until EoD Monday for a response.
I position it as, I cannot leave other candidates waiting if you decide not to accept.
The reality, I’m hoping it’s not enough time for another agency to force through approvals and get them an offer
Be slow at replying to email? It all kinda depends on circumstances
Slow down your email responses to the company ahead of things, within reason of course. They don't need to hear back from you within the hour.
And respond immediately to emails from the company behind things. Get them to book interviews and make decisions faster.
When one makes you an offer, tactfully let the slow company know.
Ask for a lot of specific details about the benefits package. Recruiter won’t know and it will take some time to get answers about health plan coverage. Also ask for a larger salary and work from home built into contract. Good to have and will slow things down while they get things in writing. Also say your spouse is out of town and you need to talk it over with them.
don't stall until you get an offer

Yeah, asking for a little more money or time off, then convientally being too busy to answer, is a sure fire way to get an extra day or two.
