Hi fishes! My spouse is planning to go to India but we would need to get her visa stamped before coming back. I see that getting appointment is such a huge problem right now. Can we get her visa stamped from a different country? In this case, we were considering Qatar, she grew up there and has her brother there. For what it’s worth she qualifies for Dropbox in India. How do I find out if Qatar works in our case?Deloitte

Seyfarth and Mintz Levin are all nonpartner track associates meaning you’re a staff attorney and not an associate. GT has a pretty big practice where there is still a possibility to be partner. From a comp perspective, i would rank in this order from highest to lowest: 1) associate positions at full service firms; 2) Fragomen; 3) BAL/Ogletree associate positions; 4) full-service firm staff attorney positions; 5) Fragomen staff attorneys; and 6) BAL attorneys. I’ve been in the field for 15 years and have worked for a full service firm, BAL, and Fragomen.
I second this ranking.

Kramer Levin maybe?
Fragomen - plus apparently they’ve implemented a permanent remote/hybrid model.
That's what I assumed, but just wanted to confirm. thanks!
Fragoman
Fragomen takes up a lot of space in the practice area, but Ogletree and Seyfarth also have strong practices. A lot of firms like Mintz have small teams as well. I would caution you in starting in immigration - the pay scale is a fraction of other practice areas, no one fully understands what you do, and it's relatively thankless. The upside is that the hours are pretty good depending on where you go, a lot of women are in the upper management, and you get to make a tangible impact in people's lives.
Jackson Lewis, Mayer brown, Kramer Kevin, Ogletree. All pay above Fragomen and BAL, offer partnership track, and you get a better mix of cases than BAL and Fragomen (more lawyering essentially).
Ah ok. Based on what I knew of littler and JL I assumed it was higher. But yes, both those firms pay higher than fragomen and BAL
Thanks, all - good information here. Appreciate the insight.
