which practice group has better exit opportunities: SALT or R&D?

Not sure what exit ops you’re going to get in SALT except for more SALT. Ditto R&D, although there are probably some industry-specific roles you could eventually move to.

Both are very niche tax roles and will limit the easy exit opportunities to more broad roles, r&d more so. You can still make a ton of money in either if you’re good though

Neither is great for exit . SALT is better

Currently working on R&D. I don’t recommend it. Very niche and not a lot of industry related roles to it.

Any one make a move from fund admin after big 4 assurance and then was able to make a pivot to a PE fund accounting team? I am considering moving to a fund admin now. Have 9+ years of big four experience. Worried that I can get stuck in fund admin. But I have interviewed at several big name pe shops and make a few rounds on interviews but then get the same feedback that they are worried about my lack of operational experience.

I wanted to reschedule my hiring manager screen this week because I tested positive for covid and feeling sick with symptoms. Recruiter seemed annoyed and said hiring manager is busy for the rest of the week so I kept the original time slot. I joined EY in January. Had no work all of January, but was busy for February and some of March.
