Why can’t employers get rid of Vesting schedule ? I get its necessity for stock plan or esop etc but the lock in period for 401k does not make sense..let the benefit accrue from day 1..

My company is not correctly integrated with our financial software and $0 has been coming out of my paycheck the whole year despite electing a contribution amount. They've been taking forever to fix it, not sure what to do now :(

Junior associate here, should I ask for more money if my firm is about 10-15 percent less hours but about 30 percent less pay? The gap will never be closed to the top pay scale at my firm but when I decided to come to this firm the pay difference was about 15 percent and not 30. Do you all feel that the Health Insurance choice is actually all the same? The coverage is absolutely copy and paste for Bronze to Platinum and the deductible/copay is very similar.
I just don’t understand why we have the illusion of “choice” if the offer is the same and it is really bad (in our case).
Going from $61 per paycheck for 2.5k deductible 75% copay to $500+ per paycheck with 500 deductible 85% copay.
