Will I be at a disadvantage in the post mba recruiting process if I go for my MBA with only 3 YOE? I’d imagine that recruiters would be more inclined to hire students with more work experience all else the same.

Depends on what school you go to & what industries you recruit for.

like

MBB won’t care much if you only have 3 YOE, especially since you were at Deloitte. At McKinsey at least the post MBA role and pre-MBA role are seen as pretty equivalent when staffing projects by a lot of EMs and partners.

3 should be fine, most people have a tiny bit more 5-7 depending on the school but you’re in a good spot, esp for consulting

Feels like OP will go do mba and then come out only to be routed back as an SC on the grind up to M, wouldn't it be more advantageous to get to M and then utilize mba to reach higher thresholds?

like

Not if their goals are MBB. Way harder coming in at the manager levels.

I would appreciate your perspective.
I am currently working on my MBA in a professional evening and weekend program at a highly accredited university. I am thinking about transferring to a much smaller private online program, specifically because they offer a concentration in organizational health, which directly builds on my doctoral research. Does great depth and specialization outweigh the value of a highly respected generalist degree?

Studied accounting and finance but worried about the future of this profession. Currently working in Forensic Consulting but want to leave. Should I go back to undergrad and get a computer science degree? I honestly want a career where I could at least potentially make 600 k per year. I feel in accounting it’s near impossible. Additionally, I’m sick of people looking down on me. My gf is getting a PhD in a social science and gets way more respect then me. I am 25 also. HELP

I’m thinking about moving up to a high school English position from 8th grade English. Mainly I’m looking for a change. Any thoughts on the differences I’d be facing?

I have high school children of my own, but disciplining high schoolers has always intimidated me for some reason. I have excellent classroom management, but I feel like high schoolers are a little smarter ab getting around rules and less worried about consequences.

I’m told by an hs tchr that the grading load is ab the same.
