Likely the firm contribution scatterplot which doesn’t mean anything. Let’s see the performance one.
Oh I remember my Deloitte days like they were yesterday
As Ex-D - I still love how they judge us by 5-10 questions which most people fill out in less than 5 min
Couple years ago the process of you writing up your goals and achievements was time consuming to say the least but at least it was dependent upon you to provide a picture to your counsellor.
Some ppl take it seriously but others literally took 2/3 min to fill it out without understanding background/rationale... 🤔🤔
For real though, I have realized scatterplots are unfavorably stacked against everyone who doesn’t have a thriving personal relationship with their manager. Me and SM go way beyond the firm and know each other for 10 years. Even though my performance on other projects has been better than this one, I had no doubt my SM would give me 5/5 for everything
My M would always make two snapshots in the year the equivalent of a 5/4 and 4/5 because he thought 5/5 (strongly agree) every time made it disingenuous....
Your days are numbered.
Yes
Is this the stack and rack?
I posted my scatterplot that looked like this as a joke and all I got was shit, good job OP hahaha
Definitely.
If it’s a field of vision test then you have more than one blind spot 🤓
More seriously, this is why all firms have calibration processes and treat manager evaluations as an input but not the definitive truth. When you see hundreds of inputs year in year out from/about the same people, you get good at calibration
I hope so
Start counting down
Wtf am I looking at. What are the variables?
This is neat but from an outside perspective layoffs are based on a leadership looking to consolidate for more efficiency so those groups get on the chopping block then within those groups you knock out the most expensive. At a consultant level even amazing performers are disposable.
Ah the ol’ scatterplot flex. Two points:
-there are many, many, dots stacked directly under yours in the 5x5 box, which is why the scatterplot visualization is a poor choice
-it’s possible to have this placement and still get a 3
...but you probably won’t be laid off
For sure...
