Working in a toxic work environment where our team has had one resignation once every 2-3 months. Our main problem is the snr mgr who’s condescending and sets unrealistic deadlines on us and when we escalate this to the partner, she told us to stop being “emotional”. We’ve all started looking for jobs but is it worth escalating this to HR when they are already concerned about our team’s high turnover?

No, the best thing you can do is leave for a better job. HR doesn't care about you and they'll just PIP you. I know because it happened to me and I left PwC a year ago. I recommend using LinkedIn Premium and talking to recruiters on there on the phone about what you want in your new job and they'll help you look and schedule your interviews and negotiate on your behalf.

Nah not worth it. You’ll just have a target on your back. This is sounds like a standard PA environment. If you feel strongly, you could share your thoughts on your exit interview, but even that won’t likely do much tbh.

I recently took a job with a top tier investment manager, which is a step up in title and responsibilities. I went through the typical “notice” conversations with my current employer. My boss, who was a significant supporter and mentor of me during my time at my current firm, told me that he doesn’t think my new firm is “long term” for me. Anyone ever get something like this before? It threw me off because I was hoping for his support, understanding that it’s tough for him temporarily

So my VP at my previous company felt bad and refused to speak to me or attend my farewell after my resignation. His reason was that I somehow betrayed his trust as he had promoted me just last year (after keeping the position open for 4 months and letting me take additional work load after the previous SM left!). Does this make any sense? I mean where does this sense of entitlement or ownership over the employees come from? No wonder the company in question is kind of facing a literal exodus!

Hi all—trying to understand a little bit more here. Someone recently suggested everyone on my team add pronouns to their display name.
