How do you folks describe your deals in resume/ interviews/ LinkedIn while stopping short of naming client/target? If you describe the acquirer and target, it’s pretty easily traced to the exact deal.

How are you developing client relationships when in-person networking is out?

I'm used to hanging out with my clients frequently, grabbing coffee, stopping by the office, etc. Zoom/Hangouts meetings just feel really awkward and it's difficult switching from business development which was 90% IRL to nearly all online... Especially when I run a 1-person shop.

I am on the brink of quitting my consulting gig. I had a good record up until this project, where I really struggle and have a very disengaged team and highly political and bureaucratic client. My firm might be too small to just roll me off.. I have a few interviews lined up, but I don’t have a job offer yet.

I am working for a client in infosys and the project is in initial stage and the go live is somewhere in January.

Now the thing is this project has lot of toxic people from client team and they play blame games on daily basis.

I am working as a team lead here and want to get deallocated from this project.

Please help me with right approach and save my soul.

I have a Q that I worry is going to make me sound like a jerk, but want some opinions. I do strength training 2x/wk with a trainer who was assigned to me at a gym where I bought a pack of sessions. I don’t really consider myself “his” client bc the relationship is managed by the gym… but lately he keeps saying like “I can’t wait to see what my clients give me for Christmas” and I find it super awkward. Please who knows about the advisory practice within the PwC financial crime unit (Canada Acceleration Centre)? I understand it is a client non-facing advisory role. Would it be a good career decision for someone coming from GRC firms like Kroll, Control Risk or Exiger? I am concerned about the negative reviews relating to the PwC acceleration centres in general, and getting stuck in a role which does not provide growth opportunities. Thank you.

Has anyone ever dealt with Geico UM case where they insist that a release needs to be signed? Geico extended our client’s policy limits but wants him to sign a release. We offered to sign an acknowledgment of receipt of funds but Geico said without a release signed, they will not issue payment.

Partners, have you ever been recruited by a client and turn it down? If so, were there any repercussions? Hello, in my previous organisation I worked in development domain (Oracle IAM Tool and Java)and my post was software Engineer, i joined Wipro as project Engineer in April 2022 and was assigned non technical project as an analyst.

I fought my way hard to get released from the project. However my designation is changed as Analyst. Should I ask for change in designation as I know that analyst is non-technical profile? Would my designation impact my future role as well?
