What is the target utilization for a Senior 2? Or number of chargeable hours goal? Is this ever hard to meet?

Husband is doing well in his career, my son is thriving in school...Im still struggling to find a work place that i like. I been at my current employer for a year and to say the least i feel under utilized, undermined , only hired for my "optics" ( only minority in the team.. literally introduced once as the Puerto Rican HR lady). I am curious how other inclusion teachers are being utilized when the school is doing remote learning. I find that I am sitting in the zoom class and have very little opportunity to contribute. I have a query with regards to HRA deduction that we can claim as non taxable.

So in my offer letter, it is written that max 50% of basic salary can be used for house rent.

My basic salary is 7,00,000. So how much deduction can I show for HRA, considering the The Income Tax Act Section 10-13A?

I want to reduce the tax as much as possible through HRA, but I believe there is a limit upto which deductions will be considered.

Career development question — what are some (preferably free) resources/learning tools available for newer HR professionals? I'm currently in the non-profit space as an HRBP. I manage over 30 reqs and am struggling keeping up with the full responsibilities of a recruiter and hrbp. I spoke to my manager and she said it's normal for an hrbp to have at least 50 reqs. I've never seen this type of model at ANY of my previous employers. Is this common?

Our managers want to restructure a role and give someone the option of 2 roles. Is this advisable? Or not?

Are recruiters worth more than L&D specialists? We have a new recuiter that transferred in from another dept. & is already making more than me and has a higher comp range. We have same tenure & they have NO prev. recuiting experience. I should also add I have been helping cover recuiting in interim. If an employer told you a bonus was coming your way, but then their boss determined that you were ineligible and no one told you until after the date of payment already passed and you asked where your money was…would you be upset? I was…especially since I had in writing I met metrics, and the amount that was owed. Their boss decided based on the policy language about tenure I was ineligible.

Engagement at my company is very low. We’ve done surveys but they are too high level to understand how to improve it. We’re building a sort of “task force” to brainstorm solutions to some of our main issues.
