USI Insurance brokerage and consulting - thoughts? A recruiter reached out to me via linked in and I was wondering if anyone had any opinions on this company. They seem to have decent reviews on Glassdoor but I was hoping to get more insight into workload and comp. Thanks in advance! USI

Depends if the commercial lit job allows for an end of year bonus that is not such a steep paycut and how much you absolutely positively hate ID. But I do think that in the long run commercial lit does end up paying more, so short term loss and long term gain maybe? Just conjecture. Don’t quote me on this lol.
Nope. But I also wouldn't do ID. I would rather run a food truck.
No, I would be looking to make more money.
Yes; I think ultimately commercial lit is more lucrative.
It depends. Are there growth opportunities at the new firm that you do not have at your current firm?
No way. Unless they were demanding a lot less billable hours
For someone as senior as you, $150k for commercial kit in NYC is insulting, and I would have to question what kind of weak litigation practice that firm has. The only reason to consider the switch IMO is that you might be pigeonholed into ID at this point and may need to take whatever you can get if you want to break into commercial lit.
Why do you want to make the switch? Maybe.
No.
For a 9 to 5, M to F, good benefits— YES. If the work hours/days are the same— NO.
