What are your agency’s current salary bands? Mine feel a little lawless. We have super talented CDs making less than new (not great) ACDs. Raised this with management and am getting some corrections through, but what is going on in your worlds?

I’ve recently got three offers for a UX Designer position. The offers are in different cities (Denver, Chicago, Austin) and I’m trying to understand what the average salary is for this position. All three offers are with highly respectable ad agencies and require 1 year of experience.

What’s the salary range at Splashlight studios for photo art director role? And how is your experience working with them?

I brought my agency over 12x my salary in billed revenue, in my estimates. Included it as part of it in my annual review asking for raise. Was denied and told by leadership that 12x falls under my regular duties (I was expecting them to tell me my estimation was off, instead they didn't contest the number). Obviously some amount of ROI off me is expected (2-5x). But 12x feels ... A bit much..

Am I right in thinking that this goes beyond my standard roles and responsibilities?

Can anyone speak to positive rationale for providing your resume and applying before an initial conversation? The recruiter initiated the conversation then asked me to apply and right now I only see negatives with this approach, since I don't even know the salary range yet and am sensitive about having my data and an application on file with them so early.

Anyone know what salary ranges are like in Berlin, specifically for a senior AD?

Did well overall in my annual review and asked for promotion. My manager said I wasn’t ready for a promotion yet. They also didn’t offer a raise which was disappointing, so I have to continue advocating for myself. I’m also below what most SDs make these days and aware of a salary survey about the salary gap for minorities like myself. Should I bring up a raise in terms of my performance, the pay gap, or both? TIA

Do agencies match your salary if you get an offer from another agency? I am in the final interview process with another agency with not an amazing salary increase ($10k) I was wondering if agencies can afford paying some more money to keep you if you are an integral part of an account with extremely high turnover.

Context: Entry level planner position with 1 year experience, $45k salary.

On the cusp of making a career move to Merkle and taking a new Associate Director position in Paid Social. Negotiations went well, so salary and signing offer are good atm, but any thoughts in the community about their work culture and management?
