How normal is it for your apartment mgmt to want to tour your unit to prospective renters while you still live in it?

I’ve rented many apts in large buildings (ATL & DC) and have never had to do this. With covid, and just overall being nervous with strangers in my home I want to push back but not sure if I can?

Anybody from ATL have good apartment/area recommendations?

Salary: 90k pretax
Budget: 1k

Is Chicago affordable for someone making $62k? Obviously would live with a roommate or two but not sure how it compares in cost of living compared to NYC, Boston, ATL, etc.

Is anyone contemplating a move outside of the city they’re in? Have any agencies said anything about adjusting salaries for people who’ve moved to cheaper cities? I’m in NY and my agency is moving to a hybrid / remote model. I badly want to move to ATL where it’s still reasonable to find a decent PR job but worried I’ll decrease my salary or earning potential in doing so. I also don’t want to ask my boss because I’m up for a promotion in Nov. and don’t want to give them a reason to lowball me.

Should I spend an extra $837.50 to fly from ATL to DXB on the A350 Delta One suite 🤔

Can anyone clarify the Spring Special Bonuses? I get that the payouts are split but do we just need to meet the pro-rata billable target (if required) for each time period to qualify? And what about laterals that joined at the start of 2021? Do they just work towards the annual target for the catch-up payment on the 2nd payout? I’m sure each firm is somewhat different but is there a general policy? Hard to tell from ATL. Thanks!

What’s a reasonable percentage of gross salary to go into savings? Will be making 80k base in ATL and built an PF income statement trying to see where to cut down costs. At 16.6%. Is that reasonable?

Booking a trip to ATL in a few months. I have Alaska Air MVP Gold. They are phasing in their oneworld membership throughout 2021, but it’s not clear to me what benefit, if any, I’d get from booking an AA flight via AS’s website (ie “marketed as an Alaska flight, but operating as AA”). I think these would count as partner miles, not Alaska miles, even though it’s purchasedart AS. This would be my only non-Alaska flight so partner miles are less useful than Alaska miles. Am I missing something?

Violence against Asian women is taking a toll. Six Asian women shot in atl, an 80+ yr old woman set on fire in nyc, an elderly Asian woman shoved and killed in Manhattan (feb), a young woman assaulted in sf last week for “China virus” (according to the attacker/attempted rapist). Have had men spit on my face in the street and yell “China” at me in NY and SF in the past year and none of my white friends seem to realize it’s an issue. Trying to raise awareness but it’s exhausting.

Have to go to ATL area for 24 hour trip. Would you fly into ATL, rent car, drive an hour or drive the full 6.5 hours? Not sure how easy or chaotic rental cars are in ATL.
