Living in San Gabriel Valley for a $950/mo 1b1bhk with a small yard, including all utilities & parking. Quite place, great landlord. But I dislike the neighborhood that aren’t nice and kinda annoying. I feel like living in a foreign country. Should I suck it up and look for people/places I like, or move? Maximum budget is only $1,800/mo for westside.

Florida, Texas, or California? Have the option to move to remote environment. Looking for a change from the northeast. Single male 27- I like being outside, golfing, tennis, beach, running which I can do all year around at these spots. Florida and texas from a tax standpoint would be nice but part of me is saying go San Diego as that would be a once in a lifetime place to be - you can always come back right? Any thoughts from people who made similar moves lately?

San Jose folks. Looking to move there later this year for a job, any recommendations on solid areas with 3-4 bedrooms? Don't care about nightlife (married with a kid), like a safe area with parking, parks and stuff to do with a toddler.
Zillow is showing everything 4k+/month which is a bit high.
Any suggestions/help would be appreciated, I'm from the East coast so I know nothing about the area.

I recently accepted a role with a Tech company based in San Francisco. Tbh, not 100% excited or happy with the offered role. Comp is fair but the Pre-IPO RSU’s is the attractive part.

I did not have a lot of time between the offer and time to accept it. So, I accepted it. I am interviewing with other firms currently to see if I can get a better offer & role in next couple of weeks.

Current TC: $138k base + 15 ~ 18% bonus
SF offer: $185k (fixed - base + signon) + reloc + $40k RSU/year
