Depends hugely on the firm. Design is an underpaid profession in general.
My friend who did transportation planning was offered 72k right out of her masters. 80k - 90k seems to be the general trend for those with masters at entry level.
I’ve no idea. Most people in the urban design/architecture field ultimately want to have their own practice. Most of my friends who went to architecture school ended up starting their own practice. That’s where the money is. Maybe your so could try a real estate or project management company who might need a designer if they want to make money.
In Atlanta, 4 years out of college, I’m at ~70k/year and I consider myself well paid for my market and experience. But I think the Atlanta market is generally below San Fran. Hope that helps a little.
