What are the Big 4? Discussions

I have 18 years of very solid experience in Tech Risk ( Big 4, top tier banks, fortune 100) I’m very underpaid in my current role ( where I’ve been for 4-5 years now and built the whole program) but everything else is great. Im seeking the right Senior Director/ VP opportunities in Technology Risk, Technology Audit. Can anyone connect me to executive recruiters? I would also love to transition to tech industry as such, but open to all industries.

I’ve never entertained leaving my company, I actually do like it. But I also like getting paid. Can anyone share their % salary increase experience moving horizontally to another B4?

Context: Risk consulting, high COL city, 2 YOE, 83k/yr as an Associate, got promoted this year to senior. Definitely at the middle of my pay band as an Associate, at a minimum expecting a 20% promotion increase, but curious to what another company would offer.

How long does a firm take after an internship interview to send out an offer?

I got an offer from a big 4 firm for summer internship within a few hours after the interview.

However I interviewed at two mid level firms for winter internships and haven't heard back yet and it's been a week. Should I just assume that I was rejected and move on?

Just started a new project with my current B4 employer about a week ago on a project that is not even close to what I want to do, but just received an offer from competitor doing exactly what I want to do for more $$. Is it pretty standard to just put in notice and move on or is that looked down on, considering I took the project knowing there was a chance I would not stay?

Why are so many MDPs such poor communicators? I was at B4 and at ACN and the people I’ve seen rise to the top are not good at listening, they speak confidently without context/preparation, and they generally confuse clients when they open their mouths during meetings

Thinking of getting an online MBA from Kelley at IU. Been at Big 4 and am now at a MM firm doing transaction advisory and structuring work. I like the Online MBA as I can continue to work. I don’t particularly have aspirations to work at MBB or anything like that, but I would be interested in pursuing a MM banking job and eventually something in PE. Does that seem reasonable. I have a solid network already so not super concerned about networking during the MBA (and Kelley isn’t known for that).

Kinda amazed how job market froze so quickly. I remember seeing B4 audit seniors getting into B4 FDD so easy till like 9 months ago. And then it was still easy to get into MM and now it's hard to get anywhere. You gotta seize the opportunity when you see it.

New to EY and the big 4 culture in general . Have 5 YOE. Its so strange to see people appearing online and sending mails even when they are on approved leave. Is this something common here?

How common is it going to A&M FDD from a direct A&M competitor (Alix, HL, FTI, etc)? Are these hires more competitive than B4 FDD and why?

Would you rather take a job at MBB/T2/Big 4 or a job with a "Creator" (Mr. Beast, The Sidemen, Beta Squad, AMP, etc.) I have no idea what you would be doing so I leave that to the imagination. And I have no idea what these Creators would pay you. I will add that you will have long term job stability with the Creators. Long term, i can make partner at my firm in a few years if I stay, which has its benefits. If i go to big tech, im assuming i will be able to make partner salary even sooner. $ aside, not sure about the wlb at big tech. looking for advice from everyone else if i should stay at my firm or take this offer?

Currently a C working in life science. Having a moment where I realize I’m not that interested in what I do. Would it unreasonable to apply to B4 for a completely different practice area? Would applying as a level down benefit me?
